Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes launch their latest fleet vehicle a BMW i3 electric car.

The vehicle is supplied and maintained by Sandal BMW Huddersfield.
It has gone into immediate operational service to support the urgent and emergency transfer of Blood Samples between Hospitals and Hospices in West Yorkshire especially during the recent adverse weather conditions in West Yorkshire.

Newly donated motorcycle joins the fleet

Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes are delighted to announce the addition of a new BMW R1250 into their fleet of operational blood bikes.

Seen here at the recent unveiling at an event in Bradford, Stewart Carley from the Provincial Grand Chapter of Yorkshire West Riding, handed the keys to Whiteknights West Yorkshire Manager, Andy Dickens.

“As we enter into our busy period of the winter months, having a new bike available to our riders is hugely appreciated,” said Andy.

The new machine is called Victoria and is named after Stewart’s daughter. Stewart is among the first few recipients to be awarded the certification of “Whiteknights Champion” for their contribution to the sustainability of our charity.

Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes receive major funding from GirderFork Motorcycle club

Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes have this week received a major financial boost to support the charity over their forthcoming busy winter season.

Girder Fork Classic Motorcycle club have donated £1500 raised through their annual ‘Big Bike Sunday’ Classic motorcycle event held at Skipton Auction Mart.

Pictured receiving the donation are Whiteknights Fleet Manager, Steve Annakin, Blake Hemmingway from GFMCC, Whiteknights West Yorkshire Manager, Andy Dickens, and Whiteknights North Yorkshire Manager, Paranjit Bharaj.

Whiteknights volunteer, Advanced-Qualified riders transport urgent blood samples for testing between hospitals overnight and at weekends right across the Yorkshire region.

“One Rider” Campaign recruits start Operational Duties in South Yorkshire.

This weekend we are delighted to announce that Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes South Yorkshire region has two new recruits on Operational Duty. Advanced-Qualified Volunteer Riders Adam, (left) and Ian, (right) are pictured. This is a result of our “One Rider” Facebook Campaign from earlier this year. Well done for completing the training and welcome to the Whiteknights team!

Sponsored Rowers Raise funds

Our thanks to Kay and Eunice for successfully completing a 12-hour endurance row-athon event to raise funds for Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes.

The two ladies rotated in half-hour rowing sessions from 9am to 9pm.

Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes support Hospitals and Hospices.

On Blood Bike Awareness Day 2019 we recognise our support for the UK’s Hospice network.

We are authorised to transport Controlled Drugs and Pharmacy items to Hospices throughout Yorkshire.
